Bjarke Underbjerg


Bjarke Underbjerg (born on Valentine’s Day, 1991) is a Danish filmmaker with a background in film studies and philosophy, a foundation that that strongly shapes his storytelling and visual sensibility. After spending half a decade immersed in academic exploration, he transitioned into the film industry, cutting his teeth as an assistant to some of the most in-demand commercial directors in the world.

Bjarke began his own directing career with documentaries and music videos, drawn to authentic narratives and striking visual language. His breakthrough came with a deeply personal short film about his uncle’s battle with Parkinson’s disease — a poignant piece that garnered international recognition, including nominations and awards at the Young Director Award in Cannes, Ciclope, Shots Awards, and True Awards.

Since then, Bjarke has brought his distinctive vision and emotional depth to the commercial world, collaborating with some of the biggest and most iconic brands across Scandinavia. His work continues to blend cinematic craft with human intimacy, always rooted in a desire to tell stories that resonate.
